About the Portrait Artist Deborah J. Hendrix, from Mocksville, North Carolina has been in photography since 1988. Deborah was involved in Pet Portrait photography for 8 years in sales and marketing, prior to opening her home based studio in Clemmons, NC in 1995. She opened her second studio, a log cabin with a wraparound porch on 10 1/2 acres in Mocksville, NC in May 2006. The rural location provides open land with beautiful landscaping for great outdoor locations including a Victorian Playhouse, a Gazebo, a Pond, and much more. This has been a tremendous boost to her High School Senior portraiture, providing unique outdoor locations with remarkable experiences.
Deborah is a member of Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), American Society of Photographers (ASP) and South Eastern Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA.) Deborah received her Associate Fellowship Photographic Degree from PPNC in 2004, her Fellowship Degree in 2007 and her Photographic Craftsman Degree from PPA in 2009. Deborah placed first in the Children's Category in 2004 and 2006 at PPNC. She has won numerous awards in State and National Print Competition. She is married, has two grown children and three grandchildren. |
